Agrii is a recently formed and highly successful agri-business, headquartered in Cheltenham with a national operations structure. With annual turnover approaching £500 Million Agrii are seeking to appoint an outstanding Management Accountant to support the business by providing a rich quality of data analysis and interpretation of business trends for use across the firm’s sales and operations teams. The analysis will relate to current, budget and prior year performance with occasional ad-hoc support for projects investigating business performance at a micro level. There will be a need to support the budget process, providing help and collating information for final approval, supporting Group for year-end reporting, and providing occasional support for the Board with financial analysis in support of special projects.
There will be a need to work flexibly across the finance team, helping provide an integrated cross-functional support for the business; to further optimise financial performance and strategic development. Essential is the concise formulation and delivery of accurate numbers to managers in a timely manner, to support the month end reporting protocols.
Working closely with the CFO, you will be a key member of the finance team, delivering robust financial information and analysis to support commercial decision making, whilst supporting the ongoing development of effective financial systems and controls. Based at Cheltenham, there will occasional need to travel nationwide so a driving license is essential.
At a personal level we expect you to be a qualified Chartered Accountant, with 2-3 years post qualification experience, and given the high level of interaction with the ERP and Business Cube systems, strong IT skills – able to identify and maximise the benefits of IT across the business.
You will need to be a good communicator who sees both the financial and wider commercial impact of management decision making. You will be proactive in your approach to tasks and seek to improve processes, controls and professionalism wherever possible. You will be confident in style, and able to demonstrate a hands-on pragmatic approach; with credibility, high energy and integrity as the desired qualities.
If you are excited by the wide ranging challenge of this role, we want to hear from you. You will have the opportunity to join a growth oriented, professionally run business that offers a varied and exciting career, with potential for further career development.
